Brett Weithorn, Principal

Fascinated with business and trade from a young age, Brett began his professional career while attending the University of Miami’s School of Business studying Business Management. While at school, Brett worked as a marketing manager for some of South Florida’s premier food and beverage establishments and served as a private concierge for many of his affluent peers from around the world. As his career matured, Brett created commercial trade relationships with many of his concierge clients and began sourcing goods for various clients that ranged from distributors, manufacturers, buying groups and traders. Brett’s ability to source any item across any product category from almost any origin has led him to facilitate trades both domestic and international, in both the public and private sectors. In January 2020, Brett started WTI Ventures, a private firm focused on sourcing commodities, specialty ingredients and consumer packaged goods, promising to utilize his personal relationships and high level contacts around the world for the direct benefit of his clients.

Keith Weithorn, Advisor

Beginning his professional career as an auditor, Keith became an Audit Manager in the Financial  Services division at Touche Ross & Co. (which today is Deloitte Touche). In 1983 he was offered the position of CFO at Noga Commodities (Overseas) Inc. who was his client at the time by the Chairman of the company, Mr. Nessim D. Gaon of Geneva, Switzerland. In 1984, Keith became the Executive Vice President where he presided over the trading operations in North and South America, responsible for trading, financing, freight and logistics for millions of metric tons of commodities from Noga’s corporate office in The World Trade Center. During his tenure, when NAFTA was implemented, he successfully established a trade relationship with Grupo Industrial Bimbo of Mexico, successfully negotiating an exclusive supply contract for the purchasing, hedging, shipping and and financing of approximately 500,000 MT per year of various wheat grades for a 9 year period where he successfully charted in excess of 125 marine vessels of wheat from various suppliers in the US and Canada. In addition, Keith has traded and shipped cargos to the Middle East (Egypt), India, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Bangladesh, West and Central Africa, Nigeria, China, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Russia. In 2011, after coming out of a professional pause, Keith entered the ancient grain business where he was one of the original importers of chia seeds into the US, applying his trading acumen to secure supply in that immature, unsophisticated market, processing the chia seeds into oil, flour, bran and milled seed at his plant in Upstate NY for both bulk and CPG distribution. Today Keith acts as an advisor to WTI Ventures for his son, Brett. Keith overlooks many of the high level transactions and WTI has full access to his rolodex of worldwide suppliers and multinational trading company partnerships.
